Arron Swartz

Arron Swartz was a passionate programmer, activist and hacktivist.  At the age of 13, Arron won an ArsDigita prize, a year later Arron Swartz became a member of the working group for the internet RSS format. Swartz also helped develop Creative Commons.

Swartz founded https://watchdog.net/ which is a website setup to collate data about politicians.    Arron Swartz committed suicide when faced with the prospect of 35 years in prison in respect of him downloading scientific papers and making them free for others to access.
